Now, as part of the campaign to get BA everywhere, we are taking this interview to the Taste of Soul Festival, the largest gathering of the Black community in all of Southern California and the biggest street festival in L.A. The festival happens next Sat., Oct. 20th, from 10 am to 7 pm, when Crenshaw Blvd. is blocked off from Rodeo to Stocker for the expected 250,000 participants! AND YOU ARE NEEDED!

Think what it would mean to put out radio and print ads in the days
leading up to the Taste of Soul Festival, promoting this interview and
driving people to the websites to hear it. What if we had hundreds of
CD's of the interview to sell as fundraisers for the BA Everywhere
Campaign in a booth at the festival, where we could play the interview
from loudspeakers? Promotional flyers, plugger cards with
the BAsics quote of the month, and more? We could make a big leap in
connecting people with this movement for revolution and the leader of
the revolution, the man whose vision and work holds out the hope and
possibility for a whole new world for people all over the globe! And be
in a much better position to reach into many other sections of society
off of that weekend to change the atmosphere and the discourse across
the country.

Your help is needed now to make this happen - financially, artistically, and in many other ways:
First off: $3,000 is
needed asap. Donate or volunteer to phone bank for funds, using a
script and working together at the bookstore or from your own home. Donate online [here] via the BA Everywhere PayPal button, and ask others to do the same. Here's what we need the funds for:
$570: 1/8-page ad in the L.A. Sentinel
$800: Wide-rotating 30-sec. radio ads
$800: Booth on Crenshaw Blvd. with sound
$200: CDs of the interview as a fundraiser for BAE
$300: Plugger cards with BAsics 1:22
$300: Promotional flyers
Also needed:
Someone who can burn CD's and label them.
Graphic designers & technicians for flyers, displays and ads.
Volunteers for 1 to 2 hour shifts at the festival to set up & take down the booth, and to pass out promotional materials.
