In the face of open declarations of plans to overthrow the tattered remnants of democracy in this country, American exceptionalism seems to have lulled many people into a false sense of complacency that a coup cannot happen in the US." We'll talk about how people have stopped coups in other countries, and what people could do here. Ashley Dawson is professor of postcolonial studies at the City University of New York Carl Dix is in the streets in Philadelphia, where people are protesting the attempts of Trump and his fascist followers to stop counting votes, which at this point are disproportionately from Black, Latinx and Native American voters. We'll talk about this, and the whole situation we're in. Carl Dix is a member of the Revolutionary Communist Party, and a member of the Editorial Board of Refuse Fascism. He is a revolutionary who has been fighting against Trump's fascism, and organizing to drive out the Trump/Pence regime.
