UPDATE 11/22: Trump/Pence Must Go protesters engage in non violent civil disobedience on LA 101 Freeway in downtown Los Angeles

The 5 RefuseFascism.org volunteers who blocked the 101 freeway in downtown Los Angeles Tuesday morning have been released!
Thank you to all the people from throughout the country and beyond who called the LAPD Metropolitan Detention Center to demand the charges be dropped and they be set free.  Late in the day on Wednesday, the City Attorney decided not to file charges against any of the volunteers…at least for now (the City Attorney has 1 year to decide)… and the protesters walked out of LA Metropolitan Court and were greeted by RefuseFascism.org activists who’d been at court demanding their release.
It’s very important people from around the country called the authorities to demand their release.  The LAPD had kept the freeway protesters in jail overnight rather than release them on their own recognizance explicitly as ‘preventive detention.”  While they were incarcerated, a number of police told the protesters they weren’t going to be set free because they may carry out another non-violent civil disobedience action and as punishment for carrying out this righteous act.  The police also taunted the protesters from the moment they were arrested, referring especially to November 4 – the RefuseFascism.org call that began the movement “The Trump/Pence Regime Must Go.” Tuesday mornings freeway stoppage came in the wake of November 4, when 4000 people in 24 cities hit the streets demanding “This Nightmare Must End: The Trump/Pence Regime Must Go!”
This was truly a spectacular action:  2.75+ million people have viewed Facebook live coverage:

This week on The Michael Slate Show: Net Neutrality; Slave Rebellion Re-enactment; Trump/Pence Must Go!
Corynne McSherry of Electronic Frontier Foundation on the Threat to Net Neutrality
Corynne McSherry, the Legal Director of Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), joins us to talk about the Trump administration's threat to net neutrality. As she recently explained on the EFF website, the proposed rule changes on the internet by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), "invites a future where only the largest Internet, cable, and telephone companies survive, while every start-up, small business, and new innovator is crowded out—and the voices of nonprofits and ordinary individuals are suppressed."
Dread Scott on the Slave Rebellion Reenactment

Dread Scott joins us to talk about the Slave Rebellion Reenactment. It is "a community-based performance that will restage and reinterpret Louisiana’s Revolt of 1811. This was the largest rebellion of enslaved people in North American history and took place outside of New Orleans."

Dread Scott makes revolutionary art to propel history forward. In 1989, the entire US Senate denounced and outlawed his artwork and President Bush declared it “disgraceful” because of its use of the American flag.
Courageous Refuse Fascism Protesters Block 101 Freeway During Rush Hour - AGAIN!

With courage and conviction, 5 RefuseFascism.org volunteers blocked the 101 freeway in downtown Los Angeles Tuesdaymorning. Their 60 foot banner read TRUMP/PENCE REGIME MUST GO! Rush hour freeway traffic was snarled and brought to a stop as the protesters broke through the normalization of fascism in the U.S. with this bold action.

We'll speak with two of the courageous freeway protesters..
