Concentration Camps on the border… the earth melts and burns… the danger of war, even nuclear… white supremacy rules… fascist mobs and mass murderers… truth and science erased… the right to abortion near gone…democratic and civil rights stripped away… THIS IS FASCISM UNFOLDING.

This weekend Refuse Fascism is calling meetings around the country to make plans for sustained nonviolent mass protests,as in Puerto Rico or Hong Kong. We'll talk with Andy Zee, co-initiator of Refuse Fascism and a participant in the Get Organized for an Actual Revolution Tour, and Rev. Frank Wulf, Pastor of Echo Park United Methodist Church, and Refuse Fascism.

#UCLA4 Case -- Dragged Into Court for Speaking Out Against Fascism
In February, 2018, members of the Revolution Club and Refuse Fascism spoke out during the fascist Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin’s speech at UCLA. Four are now on trial in LA, and are facing serious jail time.
They exposed the role Mnuchin is playing as a member of Trump’s fascist cabinet and called on the audience to act: “He is part of a regime that is hell-bent on consolidating fascism... don’t stand aside.”
We'll hear from one of the defendants.

Legendary Guitarist Wayne Kramer on Rock Out 5, a Benefit for Jail Guitar Doors

Wayne Kramer, the acclaimed musician and guitarist, co-founder of the MC5, joins us to talk about Rock Out 5, a one-night benefit for Jail Guitar Doors at the Ford Theatres this Saturday, September 28.
The Democratic Party facilitates all of this – voting for the wall; refusing to impeach which they have shown and told you they will not urgently pursue.
Waiting on 2020 is immoral and dangerous: If you will not take to the streets now, what will you do if Trump wins? What will you do if he loses, but refuses to leave office? History shows it can become too late to stop fascism.
To NOT ACT IS COMPLICITY.
The world as we have known it is being torn asunder. This requires getting out of our comfort zones and not allowing our differences to stand in the way of rising together in an unprecedented, unrelenting mass struggle to confront the danger of a Trump/Pence fascist America. The Trump/Pence Regime Must Be OUT NOW!

Hunter Walker on the FBI Tracking Border Protest Groups

Hunter Walker, White House Correspondent for Yahoo News, together with Jana Winter, reported that the FBI is monitoring groups on the border that are protesting U.S. immigration policy. All of the evidence cited in an FBI report involved nonviolent protest activity. Nonetheless, FBI agents are claiming that protest groups are "increasingly arming themselves and using lethal force to further their goals.” Activists say that the government is classifying legitimate government opposition and legally protected speech as violent extremism or domestic terrorism. We'll speak with Hunter Walker about this report.

Josh Willis, NASA JPL on #ClimateCrisis, Oceans Melting Greenland; Andy Zee, When Do YOU Say Enough? Plus Nora Benavidez, Press Freedom Week in LA

Josh Willis, Lead Scientist for NASA's OMG (Oceans Melting Greenland) on the Rapid Melting of Glaciers and the Consequences

Climate change continues to accelerate, hitting the planet harder and harder. On August 2, a glacier in Greenland lost over 11,000,000,000 tons of ice in a single day. Josh Willis has spent the past weeks in the Arctic, investigating how the Greenland Ice Sheet is being attacked by record warm temperatures, and from below by warming sea water. Water released from the glacier melts on Greenland alone will raise sea levels by several meters, swamping coastal cities around the world. Josh will join us to talk about the OMG project, and what they are finding.

FRIDAY - Fundraising Dinner for Natl Revolution Tour; Plus The Michael Slate Show: Battle around Immigration and Climate Crisis

From the Revolution Club - LA:

You're Invited:
Welcome Back/Send Off Fundraising Dinner
for the National Revolution Tour

Friday, September 6 @ 5:00 PM
Revolution Club Organizing Center

2716 S. Vermont Ave #8, Los Angeles, CA 90007

“You Think You’re Woke... But You’re Sleepwalking Through A Nightmare —
This System Cannot Be Reformed, It Must Be Overthrown!”

Come break bread & meet the volunteers from Los Angeles who've spent the past 2 months in Chicago, as part of the National Get Organized for an Actual Revolution Tour. They will be leaving soon for the next leg of the tour in New York City.

At a time when there is a fascist regime in the white house, mass deportations, the unleashing of open white supremacy carrying out massacres against immigrant people, while the environment & the planet itself is being destroyed and when most people in society are more concerned with "me" & "my people", or waiting until 2020, the National Revolution Tour is on the front lines, fighting to end ALL forms of oppression & emancipate ALL of humanity. Fighting to put before society that there is a force, getting organized & preparing for the time when we can go all out for Revolution, with a REAL chance to WIN. Putting before millions that there is a leader named Bob Avakian, who's developed a NEW COMMUNISM, who's developed a strategy to have a real chance to win, and written a Constitution for a new society after the Revolution, and organizing the thousands into this Revolution now.

This Friday, come meet these courageous people, who have put their lives on hold to be a part of this tour, come together with others who have contributed to the Revolution, and who are learning more about this Revolution. Come hang out, break bread with and hear the volunteers' experience in Chicago and contribute to this tour continuing to do the important and necessary work it is doing.

DONATE: Without hype, absent fundamental change, without revolution, the future of humanity and the planet hangs in the balance. This tour cannot be sustained without your contribution. Become a MONTHLY SUSTAINER and make it possible to keep the tour on the move through the rest of the year. People are pouring their money into politicians of the Democratic Party—who are nothing but war criminals or war criminals-in-training, competing to be commander in chief or representatives of this bloody empire. Make a Profound Difference and DONATE to the possibility of something that could get beyond this horror and radically change the whole world.

Sasha Abramsky on Why The Trump/Pence Regime Diverted Millions From FEMA to ICE - While Hurricane Dorian Was Approaching.

Sasha Abramsky recently wrote, "This administration is making it abundantly obvious to anyone who hasn’t, somehow, already gotten the message, that it’s all about attacking immigrants, all the time — and it will stop at nothing to get its way on immigration." Sasha Abramsky is a freelance journalist and a part-time lecturer at the University of California at Davis.

Over 1,100 Congregations Have Agreed to Provide Sanctuary to Migrants
Eleanor J. Bader, writer and teacher at Kingsborough Community College, joins us to talk about the growing movement of faith activists resisting the Trump/Pence regime's assaults on immigrants. She noted that, as the attacks on migrants has escalated, "entire denominations and individual congregations — Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim and Quaker — have been mobilizing to support immigrants in a variety of ways, from protesting at the border and at local ICE offices, to visiting detention camps in witness to the atrocities unfolding there, to offering physical sanctuary and protection to those at risk of deportation."

#ShutDownDC - Global Climate Strike Week of Action September 20 - 27, Shut Down DC September 23
A coalition of organizations announced: Youth leaders from around the world have called for a climate strike and global week of action from September 20th-27th. They have been taking the lead so far, but now they are calling on all of us to take action. In Washington, DC we will be answering the call and building on the momentum of the youth climate strikes in a major way. On September 23rd, we are going to shut down DC.

We'll hear more about what is being planned and why from Collin Rees, a campaigner with Oil Change U.S.
