Please Don't Ask About Becket

A play about growing up and struggling with the choices the world presents,Wendy Graf's newest work, Please Don't Ask About Becket, follows the lives and relationship in an upper-class Los Angeles family.

Emily and Becket are twins born into a well-off family. Charismatic Becket is loved by all, and Emily is his closest friend. As they become teens, they face turning points that will impact the rest of their lives, and Emily is torn between her continued love for her brother and the need to live her own life.

Please Don't Ask About Becket is compelling drama that draws you in and holds you from the first moment. We'll hear from Wendy Graf, and actors Rachel Seiferth and Hunter Garner.

In The Other Slavery, The Uncovered Story of Indian Enslavement in America,  Andrés Reséndez tells the little-known story of the enslavement of countless native people in the Americas, including the US. This slavery lasted into the 20th Century, and was particularly brutal in California, where whole peoples were enslaved.

The forced labor of native people helped provide the foundation for the US economy.

We'll hear excerpts from a longer interview with Andrés Reséndez. The whole interview will be available at TheMichaelSlateShow.com after the show.
