Friday, January 13 - The Michael Slate Show - Refuse Fascism calls on people to Flood DC, Stay in the Streets, Stop the Fascist Trump/Pence Regime BEFORE It Starts

Received via email.  We Recommend:

Tune in Friday, January 13, 10-11AM Pacfic Time
KPFK 90.7 FM, kpfk.org

This week's show will be devoted to NO! In The Name of Humanity, We Refuse to Accept a Fascist America.

"The fascist regime that Trump and Pence are now forging represent an unprecedented danger to humanity. They must be stopped before they take control of the levers of power to commit immense horrors here and around the world. This would continue and leap beyond the countless crimes the U.S. rulers have committed for more than two centuries. To do this will take massive resistance of unprecedented scope, breadth, and determination involving millions of people in all corners of society." -- RefuseFascism.org

In the past week, there have been disruptions at Senate hearings on Trump's cabinet nominees, especially that of Jeffrey Sessions, a full-page ad in the Washington Post, and many voices speaking out. Refuse Fascism has called for people to flood Washington DC, with protests beginning Saturday, January 14, with plans to stay in the streets, demonstrating and spreading the word night and day, drawing more and more people, until many millions are in the streets demanding that this fascist regime be stopped before it starts.

For those who can't make it to DC, there are also actions planned at many other cities around the US, including Los Angeles. Refuse Fascism lists events on their website, and encourages people to create their own events if there's no event nearby.

We'll talk with several of the initiators and endorsers of Refuse Fascism:

Carl Dix, Revolutionary Communist Party

Lalah Hathaway, Grammy Award-winning singer
Arturo O'Farrill, Afro-Latin jazz musician, pianist and composer
